April 17, 2024: Architect Karan Desai of Mumbai-based interior design studio Karan Desai Architecture + Design, announced his first-ever collaboration with Serafini – a marble design company in Italy. The two worked closely to craft an exclusive product, the ‘Chaise Lounge’, which will be launched at the Fuori Salone 2024.
This collaboration sees Mr. Desai become the first Indian designer to partner with Serafini, an Italian brand synonymous with exquisite craftsmanship. The idea for a collaboration was sparked when Alessandro Serafini, captivated by Mr. Desai's work showcased on Instagram, suggested a partnership.
Crafted from luxurious marble, the chaise lounge boasts three distinct compartments meticulously designed for functionality and aesthetics. Each detail, from the comfortable seating depression to the flat surface for essentials and the built-in vessel for plants, is thoughtfully incorporated to enhance the experience.
Its meticulously sculpted contour ensures optimal ergonomic support. The horseshoe curve and ergonomic seating further add to its allure.
