VILA VITA Parc Resort & Spa to present Fine Wines and Food Fair
April 6, 2017: One of Portugal’s most exotic luxury resorts, VILA VITA Parc Resort & Spa, is all ready with the knives, forks and spoons to present their Fine Wines & Food Fair, which happens once in two years. It offers a week of peerless gastronomy, delectable cooking and innovative culinary creativity, paired with finest wines from around the world, all under one roof.
To be held from May 15 to 20, 2017, VILA VITA Parc will host a stellar repertoire of renowned chefs, wine makers and gourmet producers. The event’s awe-inspiring programme includes the now-famous ‘Kitchen Party’, as well as a new series of five exclusive dinners hosted by top culinary talent in the hotel’s recently-renovated Ocean and Atlantico Restaurants.
Participating chefs include Marcus Wareing (Marcus at The Berkeley, UK), Eckart Witzigmann (Hangar 7, Austria), Klaus Erfort (GästeHaus, Germany) and Tanja Grandits (Stucki, Switzerland), as well as more than 30 other luminaries from the world of fine dining.
The special, themed dinners include an evening dedicated to exceptional Bordeaux wines, on May 15, and four dinners (on the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th), hosted by international Michelin Star and Gault Millau guest chefs, complemented by delightful amuse-bouches prepared by Ocean’s two-Michelin-starred Chef, Hans Neuner.
On the May 16, the night will be entirely dedicated to Switzerland with renowned Michelin-starred Swiss chefs, followed by the Young Austrian Stars Dinner on the May 17 featuring some of the best young Austrian chefs and wine producers. On May 18, the VILA VITA All Star Dinner will bring some of the world’s top chefs back to VILA VITA Parc. On May 19, the day will be entirely dedicated to Spanish flavours with the Chiringuito Chic-Barcelona Style lunch at the Praia Dourada restaurant at Armação de Pêra beach, and the Spanish Star Night Dinner at the Ocean Restaurant.
On May 20, the entertaining and convivial Kitchen Party, a unique tasting gastronomic experience, will take place in VILA VITA’s newly-renovated Clubhouse, during which 350 guests will have the opportunity to taste the creations of 20 acclaimed chefs, paired with exquisite international wines, as well as delicacies showcased by select gourmet producers. Some of the participating chefs for this evening are Jacob-Jan Boerma from De Leest restaurant (three Michelin stars), Sergi Arola from LAB by Sergi Arola (one Michelin star), Juan Amador from Wirtshaus Amador restaurant (three Michelin stars and three Gault Millau Toques), Rui Paula from Casa de Chá da Boa Nova restaurant (one Michelin star) and Karlheinz Hauser from Seven Seas restaurant in Germany (two Michelin stars). Amongst the 20 producers are Herdade dos Grous, Imperial Caviar, Dirk Neipoort from Nierpoort Wines in Douro, Alvaro Palacios from Spain, and wines from Domaine de Trimbach in France.
