Trump Chicago offers festive Christmas dining & New Year's merriment
December 11, 2014: Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago is all set to offer unique dining experiences and exciting events for guests to celebrate the festivities. The acclaimed two-star Michelin restaurant Sixteen will serve decadent holiday meals for both Christmas and New Year’s and the ultra-chic lounge Rebar will host a New Year’s Eve fête for guests to ring in 2015.
Guests dining at Sixteen on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will have a last chance to experience the seasonal menu at Sixteen before the winter menu debuts soon. Commemorating The Faces of Sixteen, the menu features a series of courses inspired by the stories and history of the individuals who comprise the day-to-day success of Sixteen. The menu features preparations of New Zealand langoustine, wild sturgeon and Ossetra caviar, turbot from the Brittany Coast and poussin. Dessert courses include a black walnut cake with Bordeaux soaked prunes, mascarpone and frozen Tainori mousse and an apple cake with maple yogurt, fenugreek ice cream and lemon balm. During the Christmas seatings, special holiday additions will accompany the seasonal menu offerings.
Christmas Eve dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. and will offer a multi-course tasting menu for $210 and a pre-fixe menu for $150. Christmas Day dinner will be served from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will offer a multi-course tasting menu for $185 and a pre-fixe menu for $125.
On Christmas Day, Sixteen will offer a festive brunch to celebrate the holiday, served from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Along with the food, as a special treat during Christmas Day brunch, Santa’s reindeers will make a stop on The Terrace! Christmas Day brunch at Sixteen costs $155 per person, exclusive of tax, alcohol and gratuity.
Guests joining for New Year’s Eve will experience the Faces of Sixteen seasonal menu as the clock ticks toward midnight. Two seating options offer guests the opportunity to celebrate the occasion surrounded by unparalleled views and sophisticated luxury. The first seating of the evening, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., will feature a pre-fixe menu and cost $150 per person. The second seating, at 8:30 p.m., will feature a full tasting menu and cost $340 per person. This second seating also includes live music, a champagne toast at midnight and a prime view of the fabulous New Year’s fireworks display from Navy Pier. Enjoy a bountiful brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on New Year’s Day. The extensive brunch costs $98 for adults.
Ring in 2015 by doing the hustle as Rebar is transformed with lava lamps, disco balls and disco dancers. With the party staying’ alive until the late hours, the chic lounge will bring unforgettable excitement to revelers. Be awed by impressive views of the Navy Pier fireworks display while enjoying delectable fare and cocktails to start the New Year in style. Rebar is offering three New Year’s Eve packages. For $495 per table of up to four guests, the Hot Stuff package includes a bottle of Dom Perignon and choice of a hors d’oeuvres. For $995 per table of up to six guests, the Stayin’ Alive package includes preferred window seating along with a magnum of Dom Perignon and choice of a hors d’oeuvre or dessert platter. For $1,595 per table of up to ten guests, the Disco Inferno package includes preferred window seating along with a jeroboam of Dom Perignon and a deluxe hors d’oeuvre and dessert platter.
