Tod’s, La Conchiglia present the exhibition “Jackie’s Capri”

July 2011: The charming picturess of Jackie, taken by photographer Settimio Garritano during her holidays in Capri at the beginning of 1970s, reflect the modern image of two timeless icons and epitomes of a sophisticated elegance. These pictures are the frame of the ideal marriage between Jackie, symbol of a charming and effortless style, and Capri, renowned worldwide for its taste, culture and beauty.

These values also relate to the Italian accessories brand Tod’s DNA: products of excellent quality and great elegance, and that “Italian Touch” expressing the sophisticated Made in Italy lifestyle. Thus, Tod’s took no time in organizing an exhibition showcasing these rare and unique photographs.

To celebrate this event, Tod’s also launched a limited edition of iconic products, specifically created to embrace the green of the island of Capri: a Gommino, a D Bag and a new bracelet in bright turquoise.

These pictures, which interpret delight with taste and originality, have inspired, together with the unique atmosphere of Capri, the recent restyling of the Tod’s boutique in the renowned Piazzetta. The floor, made of ancient majolica of the XVIII and XIX century, comes from beautiful dwellings of the Amalfi coast, the ceiling, brought to its original shape and decorated with stucco, and the frames realized by the Capri Mastro Gennaro, express the magic Mediterranean taste that finds its luxury realization in this limited edition.

The exhibition - “Un Mito nel Mito – Jacqueline a Capri” – is being held from July 3 to August 20, 2011 at Hotel Quisisana, Capri.
