The Oberoi, Mumbai offers the best of Sicilian cuisine
February 14, 2019: Brining some fresh whiffs from Italy, The Oberoi, Mumbai is welcoming Executive Chef Agostino D’Angelo from Ristorante Olivier at Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea from February 21 to 28, 2019 at Vetro.
Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea was built by an aristocratic family in 1830 among lush, subtropical gardens. Till today, Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea enjoys a reputation as one of the most romantic hotels in Taormina.
The exclusive Culinary Showcase at The Oberoi, Mumbai will have Chef D’Angelo celebrate fine Sicilian cuisine with dishes such as the Caponata, one of the most renowned and well known traditional vegetarian dishes of Sicily; Marinated sea bass with shaved fennel and orange segments; Burrata cheese and basil cream with grilled fruit (where the fruit is marinated with modern techniques, then vacuum packed to remove the internal oxygen and give the fruit a more intense flavour and colour); Traditional Sicilian style Cannoli and more.
The Special Chef Agostino D’Angelo Dégustation menus will be available as a Lunch Menu Du Jour, which will feature four courses at Rs. 2950 plus taxes, and Dinner will showcase a Chef’s Gourmand menu with five courses at Rs. 4950 plus taxes, per guest. A special Gala Dinner on February 23 will present six exquisite courses at Rs. 6950 plus taxes.
