Located roughly 30 minutes away from the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa has a lot to offer to guests.
Boasting 103 guest rooms and villas, the previously Jumeirah-owned resort forms the semblance of a traditional desert village. The understated elegance of the resort comes from its neutral hues coupled with native architectural elements like the Mashrabiya detailing and Bedouin accessories. With private plunge pools in the villas and desert vistas away from the bustle of the city, this resort is a haven of tranquility.
The resort offers multi-cuisine dining with six different restaurants and bars. Bait Al Hanine, the all-day dining, has Lebanese classics on its menu and Al Mabeet offers Emirati cuisine in an atmospheric desert ambiance. Terra Secca is an open kitchen trattoria serving authentic Italian dishes. For afternoon tea and sandwiches, Hayaakom is a Bedouin style lounge. Al Mesayan is the rooftop bar and Panache is by the poolside.
The spa and wellness facilities are the resort’s most prized features. Comprising a crystal salt sauna, an IceLab cryo-experience, snow caves, steam rooms and a traditional Turkish Hammam, the spa has indoor as well as outdoor relaxation areas and 11 treatment rooms.
