The LVMH Group to open Fondation Louis Vuitton

Fondation Louis Vuitton building

June 25, 2014: The LVMH Group is set to open the doors of Fondation Louis Vuitton to the public on October 27, 2014. The Fondation will be located in an astounding building commissioned by Bernard Arnault and designed by Frank Gehry. Resembling a cloud of glass, the building is located in Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris.

The Fondation’s mission is to encourage and promote contemporary art creation, both in France and internationally. The building includes exhibition galleries and a flexible auditorium for performances.

For the opening, Fondation Louis Vuitton will hold an exhibition showcasing the architectural project created by Frank Gehry for the foundation. The exhibition will be presented with the first European retrospective of Frank Gehry’s work presented by Centre Pompidou, from October 2014.
