Jiva Grande spa Chennai

October 14, 2014: Taj Coromandel, Chennai’s first luxury hotel for four decades, brings its luxury spa experience to the city – the Jiva Grande. Blending ancient Indian wisdom with contemporary therapies, Jiva Grande offers therapies ranging from Indian aromatherapy massages, time-honoured Indian treatments, body scrubs and wraps. Jiva Grande also promises a retreat for seekers of Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda, where dedicated therapists combine timeless wellness concepts with modern therapeutic wisdom.

Located in the lower lobby and spread across 12,000 sq ft, Jiva Grande spans across three floors and consists of four single spa suites, a couple spa suite, a relaxation area, yoga studio, Ayurveda consultation and treatment room, extensive wet areas, a terrace lap pool, a reflexology walk and relaxing lounges. The highlight of Jiva Grande at the Taj Coromandel is the couple spa suite, with a lavish bath tub, overlooking the stunning landscape and swimming pool.

Jiva Grande is designed keeping with Vastushastra, the ancient science of space planning that emanates a harmonious balance of energy, drawing inspiration from nature and organic finishes. The design is simplistic, yet luxurious, allowing you to indulge your senses in the ambience created by the fragrances and sounds that are unique to the brand.

The spa treatments are offered using unique products made from Indian aromatherapy oils and special ingredients native to India. The linen is made of hand combed organic cotton and the robes and uniform are herbally dyed and sun bleached. The 100% natural range of Jiva Grande products are made with a deep understanding of the therapeutic benefits of Indian herbs and essential oils. Exclusive to Jiva, the signature experiences are borrowed from royal traditions and ancient Indian healing remedies.

The spa meal at Jiva Grande proves what's good for you can be absolutely delicious. Traditional cooking techniques combine with modern gastronomy to create a wealth of Asian, Western and Indian fare that is satisfyingly light and delectably healthy. Flavour bursts forth from fresh, organically grown fruits, veggies and herbs, free range poultry and ocean-fresh fish.
