Six Senses Con Dao opens in Vietnam in December 2010
2010: Six Senses Resorts & Spas, in conjunction with Indochina Land, announced the opening of Six Senses Con Dao in Vietnam in December 2010.
Con Dao island, also known as Con Son, is part of a 16 island archipelago, lying a 100 miles off the south east coast of mainland Vietnam. Six Senses Con Dao is a five-star, luxury resort in an untouched and breathtakingly beautiful part of Vietnam. The location is accessible with daily flights from Ho Chi Minh.
Six Senses Con Dao's contemporary architecture has been designed to enhance the natural beauty of the site. Following Six Senses commitment to the environment and support of the local community, all materials and resources have been locally chosen, from sustainable sources.
Six Senses Con Dao has 35 villas, single and duplex style, each with its own private infinity pool and unobstructed views of the East Sea. The main restaurant is located close to the beach. Other dining options will include a traditional Vietnamese open kitchen and a Deli. Chefs will be using local recipes and fresh, locally grown and sourced ingredients. The centre of the resort resembles a Vietnamese market, offering guests the chance to browse and try local delicacies.
