Asia is creating the success story of the global luxury industry today. It’s only fitting, to have the big four – Indian, Japanese, Chinese and Thai – under one restaurant roof. San-Qi at Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai has an extensive menu list presenting food items from all these four cuisines.
San-Qi, meaning the three energies, offers guests an eclectic dining experience. Sleek and contemporary, with accents of glass and natural woods, this food theatre features the best of Asian dining, accompanied by a hip wine bar, trendy world music and new Indian jazz. The restaurant’s open concept features tandoor kitchens, a wok station and an eight-seat Chef’s Table. The upper level is dedicated to Thai and Japanese cuisine and is complete with sushi bar, teppanyaki table and robata grill. Four private dining rooms are available for exclusive events.
Linking the two floors is a dramatic staircase lined with wine racks. Their small, but impressive wine list includes the best of old and new world wines, including a hand-picked selection of Bordeaux and some of the best blends from the emerging wine region in India - Nashik.
In the Japanese menu, Vegetable sushi, like Tomato and Cheese, will certainly appeal to the Indian palette. Main course includes some incredible dishes like Sansho Pepper Chicken, Yuzu Potato, Cherry Tomatoes and Slow-Cooked Silver Onions, Zucchini and Potato Sticks. From the Chinese menu, try some authentic dim sums and momos. Have a taste of dishes with traditional Thai Green and Red Curries from the Thai selection. And as for the Indian menu, we suggest you go and check out the innovative dishes yourself!
Before we sign off, here is an interesting fact for you: Chef Kato Toshikazu, who makes the Japanese cuisine at San-Qi, is the only chef in India licensed to prepare the poisonous blowfish, Fugu!
