SWISS & Narendra Kumar calendar 2010-2011 launched

2010: The new SWISS & Narendra Kumar calendar 2010-2011, created as a result of the collaboration between Swiss International Airline and fashion designer Narendra Kumar, was recently launched in an elegant event held at Tote on the Turf, Mumbai. An array of Swiss wines and a lavish dinner with Swiss specialities made the evening all the more sophisticated.

The calendar, which starts from the date August 1, 2010, fuses contemporary fashion with charming Swiss heritage through the masterfully shot photographs. It creates an aura of timeless elegance and exclusivity. Jean-Philippe Benoit, General Manager India, SWISS, said, "Narendra Kumar’s vision captures the essence of what our Indian customers appreciate about SWISS’ First Class: sophisticated luxury, a fusion of comfort and style, and attention to the smallest detail."

Acclaimed fashion designer Narendra Kumar, who is SWISS’ brand ambassador in India, said, "For this year’s calendar, the exclusively designed couture gowns embody the rich Swiss tradition of haute precision and refined luxury. Each piece has been created, developed and constructed on the body, resembling the importance of personalised service, characteristic of travel on SWISS. While SWISS First represents comfort in the skies, the calendar showcases style and hospitality the Swiss way."

This exclusive, limited edition masterpiece was captured through the artistic lens of photographer Prasad Naik against the background of Le Beau-Rivage Palace Lausanne, situated on romantic Lake Léman. François Dussart, Managing Director, Le Beau Rivage Palace, said, "We are delighted that our heritage property could infuse this highly artistic calendar with Swiss natural and architectural beauty." The pleasures of sophisticated air-travel are evoked by the ambience of grandeur and exclusivity pervading in this historic hotel.
