Rosenthal launches new Versace Collection

July 2011: Rosenthal India has introduced new patterns for its Rosenthal meets Versace line of tableware collection, each portraying a unique story, design and contemporary appeal. The Le Grand Divertissement collection echoes the fabulous, opulent parties of the French Royal Court of Louis XIV - a lifestyle which directly reminds of the exclusive Versace after show parties. Versace’s iconic Arabesque leaf design is proposed on a white background emphasizing refined details that compliments any style of cuisine. The Arabesques in intense purple are combined with a bright golden surface. The Versace Medusa is again involved in the pattern.

Vanity, La Doree extends the Vanity collection and also serves as a passe-partout to mix at one’s pleasure with any Versace Rosenthal dinner service. The matt sheen faux-uni effect of this well-known pattern has been achieved with a special golden titanium coating. The iconic golden Versace motif highlights the porcelain, providing an elegant and delicate pattern that reinforces Versace’s Art de la Table. The opulent colour is limited to the ten most important items that can be combined with most existing Versace collections into an overall picture. This technical innovation produces a multi-layer optics, which is similar to the relief of an gilt-etched decoration. The different levels of the motifs are worked out very clearly and create a very sophisticated look.

The Marco Polo is a new edition of sophisticated décor dating back to 1993 – which kindles both a desire to travel and wanderlust. Once again, one of the successful Versace décors from the historical archives lends expressiveness to a dinner set which harmonizes perfectly with the new fusion dining philosophy. It symbolizes a wonderful journey through atmospheric magical landscapes with birds of paradise, camels and peacocks. The backgrounds colored in jade green and orange are accentuated by swabs of gold and blue.
