Distinctive, sporty & especially lightweight, the watches come in two designs
June 23, 2021: Watchmaker Breitling and Ironman – a world famous and revered sporting event - have formed a long-term collaboration to produce the Endurance Pro Ironman watches, a limited-edition version of Breitling's ultimate athleisure watch. As a result, a collection of lightweight and playful luxury sports watches that combine high precision, new technology, and brilliant design, have been created.
For sports fanatics, there is a red version available worldwide at all Breitling boutiques and retailers, as well as online on the brand’s website, and a black and gold piece available only for Ironman race finishers. This collaboration takes forward from the brands’ successful partnership in 2019. More models dedicated to the Ironman community will be released in the coming months.
“Ironman truly reflects our core values of performance and endurance. We’ve designed this to be an ideal watch for elite athletes as well as a casual, everyday sports chronograph for active people who want that winning combination of performance and luxury,” said Breitling CEO Georges Kern.
Breitlight, which is 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than steel, but much harder, is used in the 44 mm watch case. This advanced material is scratch-resistant, traction-resistant, and corrosion-resistant. It even has anti-magnetic and anti-allergic qualities, as well as thermal stability, which makes it seem warmer than metal. It's spurred by the Breitling Caliber 82, a COSC-certified thermo compensated Super Quartz movement that's ten times more accurate than conventional quartz and has a three-to-four-year battery life.
The etched compass needles on the bidirectional rotating bezel, as well as the tactile shaped crown, offer massive grip and agility. The hour and minute hands are plated with Super-LumiNova. Aside from the small-second sub dial, there are also 1/10th second and 30-minute chronograph counters that are easy to read.
Endurance Pro Ironman and Endurance Pro Ironman Finisher are the two versions currently available. The former has a red dial with a pulsometer scale and a black inner bezel. The watch is exhibited on a red rubber band with a Breitlight double tang-type buckle. Also, instead of the Breitling inscription, it has an IRONMAN inscription. The latter, which is black with gold accents, is designed for athletes who have successfully completed an Ironman race. This edition will be offered only through Ironman outlets, with a distinctive Ironman Finisher Series inscription.
The Breitling Sprint, a bright and impressively lightweight watch from the 1970s, was the inspiration for the original Endurance Pro. Because of its pulsometer, it was great for athletes who wished to keep track of their heart rates.
