Panerai Classic Yacht Challenge won by Rowdy, Emeraude and Cambria

October 2010 – The sixth edition of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge 2010 (PCYC) drew to a close with the Régates Royales in Cannes. The international regatta circuit, which participation from classic and vintage yachts, was won by Rowdy in the Vintage category (boats built before 1950), Emeraude in the Classic yachts category (built between 1950 and 1975) and Cambria was awarded first prize in the Big Boats class.

Around 250 boats, with over two thousand crewmembers, took part in the four stages of the Panerai circuit in the Mediterranean. More than 500 yachts participated in the other five PCYC regattas around the world – Antigua, Cowes and Marblehead, Newport and Nantucket in New England which form the Panerai North America circuit. This is an indication of the importance of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge in the world of classic sailing.
