Ortaea uses Mozambique rubies for new collection
July 3, 2019: One of the most beautiful and radiant stones found on earth is the ruby, a stone that is best known for its striking color. Besides being the birthstone of July, rubies have also been associated with longevity and career success. With all of these aspects, one could not help but feel elated at the sight of a ruby.
Hitting the stage now is the Mozambique ruby, a stone that outshines all the other rubies in terms of color, size, and brilliance. What makes this ruby extremely unique is its silk inclusions, increasing the net worth and rarity of the stone.
Jewellery designer Ortaea is using the Mozambique rubies against a backdrop of 18kt white gold in their new ruby jewelry set. The cuff sees a harmonius dance between diamonds and rubies, while the earrings see an abstract tumble of diamonds and rubies together.
