Montegrappa announces the Pirates Pen as newest addition to their luxury line

Montegrappa Pirates Pen

May 24, 2016: Within the limited edition series produced by luxury brand Montegrappa, the craftsmen and women at Montegrappa present writing instruments commemorating swashbuckling adventurers – the much feared and followed Pirates.

Offered as piston-fed fountain and rollerball pens, the Pirates writing instrument is made in Charcoal Black celluloid and a die-case metal barrel and cap. This instrument has been produced in both Sterling Silver with yellow gold details, and solid 18k yellow gold, both featuring embellished symbols that have defined the buccaneer. These include the barrel and cap bear and grinning skulls and bones known as “the Jolly Roger”, with the crossed bones for the corsair’s hat and a sword serving as the pen’s pocket clip.

The Pirate pens also feature ships in full sail and a representation of the mermaid Syrena. Montegrappa has produced 399 fountain pens and 399 roller balls in silver, along with nine of each in gold. Fitted to the Pirates fountain pen is a nib made of 18 k gold, offered in the three writing grades of Fine, Medium and Broad. In keeping with the theme, it too is embellished with a Jolly Roger pattern. Each Pirates pen arrives in its own “treasure box” finished in red lacquered wood, with a black interior.

The pens are priced at INR 3.59 lakhs onwards.
