Michael Kors opens the brand's largest flagship store in Europe on London's Regent Street
June 24, 2016: Michael Kors is pleased to announce the opening of its largest flagship store in Europe, located on Regent Street.
In celebration of the opening, Mr. Kors hosted a cocktail event on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, in London, UK. Several celebrities were spotted at the dinner dressed in Michael Kors Collection and Michael Kors Menwear, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Chastain.
The interior of this new store features wax gray stained oak floors and tables, shelves of brushed stainless steel, Venetian wallpaper, Macassar wood details and Calacatta marble fixtures. A pale, weathered limestone “runway” leads from the entrance through the entire store. The palette of soft browns and grays, mixed with warm woods, textural finishes and luxe materials is also featured throughout the store.
Set on three floors, throughout 16,275-square- feet, the Regent Street flagship will carry every category of Michael Kors product. The ground floor is home to accessories from the brand’s Michael Kors Collection and MICHAEL Michael Kors labels, including handbags, small leather goods, watches, jewelry and eyewear.
There are separate shoe salons for the brand’s two shoe collections. A floating staircase of clear acrylic tile embedded with lights connects the ground and first floors. The adjacent two-story wall, dedicated to Michael Kors Collection handbags, features cantilevered shelves made of brushed stainless steel and fabric-laminated glass. On the first floor, customers will find the brand’s ready-to- wear items, with separate areas for Michael Kors Collection and MICHAEL Michael Kors, each with their own dressing rooms. The men’s shop is located on the lower level and features polished and blackened stainless steel fixtures with gray smoked mirrors and gray-marble display cases. Black and white photography and seating, along with a full-size pool table, complete the lower level. The items avaiable for men include a wide assortment of modern sportswear, suede and leather outerwear, dress shirts and ties, bags and small leather goods.
