Mercedes-Benz launches the SLS AMG for the Indian market
2010: Mercedes-Benz recently launched the much-desired SLS AMG to Indian consumers and car enthusiasts. This stunning car has striking gullwing doors which lend it a sporty look.
Mercedes-Benz designers took inspiration from aviation world when designing the interiors. The dashboard has a muscular wing-like profile. The design theme of an aircraft cockpit is reflected in the long matt-finished, solid metal centre console.
Dr Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India said, “The SLS AMG represents the true spirit of our brand – The best or nothing! It embodies passion, performance, design, technology and engineering excellence values.”
The SLS satisfies individual desires by offering a range of customization opportunities. Mercedes has already received 10 orders for this stupendous racing car.
The SLS AMG, which costs INR 2-2.5 crore, will be produced in limited numbers only. The car will be delivered in six to eight months after placing the order.
