Mandarin Oriental in Milan opens two specialty suites

Mandarin Oriental Milan, Milan suite inspired by Fornasetti

March 29, 2016: Milan’s Mandarin Oriental unveils two luxurious suites – the crowning jewels of the hotel that opened just last year.

Inspired by Milanese design masters, Piero Fornasetti and Gio Ponti, the new Milano Suite and Premier Suite overlook the Seta restaurant’s courtyard and the adjacent Vicolo Giardino (garden). Sprawling over 100sq meters each, the two suites have a spacious living room, a bedroom and both master and guest bathrooms.

Dedicated to Piero Fornasetti, the Milan Suite boasts several of his original furnishing pieces. Some of its highlights include a writing desk from Fornasetti’s Farfalle collection as well as an Ultime Notizie table.

The Premier Suite embraces the rational and minimalist style of Gio Ponti. Decorated in black walnut, it boasts iconic furniture such as Angelo Mangiarotti’s Eros marble table, a “2097-30/50” Sarfatti chandelier and an original Ponti console table.

A stay at one of the two specialty suites entitles guests to a string of spoils – from Spoon XL bath splashes to limousine rides.
