Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta opens LI FENG, a new Cantonese Restaurant
August 29, 2016: Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta has added a new restaurant to its hotel. Li Feng, as it is called, serves authentic, Cantonese cuisine. Dishes such as Deep Fried Swan Dumpling and Braised Hele Crab with Japanese Rice in Hoisin Sauce are among those on the menu.
Chef Fe and Chef Loy direct the restaurant’s menu. Chef Fe is one of China’s most notable young chefs. He began his career at the age of 16 and has worked in various Chinese Specialty restaurants, developing his skills. He and Chef Loy emphasize the importance of fresh ingredients and work to create a blend of traditional Cantonese dishes and classic renditions as well.
