Lush Wine & Spirits to open in Evanston, Illinois

December 11, 2014: Lush Wine and Spirits, the Chicago-based neighborhood wine shop and wine bar, is venturing into Evanston with a third location in Spring 2015. It is a one-stop shop for purchasing eclectic wines and spirits, tastings and wine bar dining.
An innovator in wine retail, Lush was one of Chicago’s first wine shops to focus on small-production products often found nowhere else. Lush Evanston will welcome customers into a fusion of wine shop and wine bar, where browsing, shopping and enjoying are melded together for guests to experience simultaneously. The store also has a comprehensive collection of craft beers, ciders, spirits, bar tools and more.
An approachable and interactive wine bar will invite diners and imbibers to choose from a thoughtfully selected array of wines by the glass, beers on draft and craft cocktails. An interesting menu of artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, small and large plates and other bites will accompany casual sipping. Guests are also encouraged to open any bottle of wine in the bar, have a seat, and savor, with no corkage fee. A backyard, outdoor wine garden will provide visitors with a space to sip and snack under a 200-year old oak tree.
Lush’s Evanston outpost will be located in the bustling business district of Central Street, next to the Evanston Public Library branch. The shop will conveniently stand among other popular establishments and gourmet shops, further elevating Evanston as a wine and food destination on the map.
