Kiehl's launches 99.8% naturally derived Micellar Water

Kiehl's natural Micellar waterFebruary 1, 2019: Expanding its line of facial cleansers, apothecary brand Kiehl’s has introduced its first micellar cleansing formula – the Herbal-Infused Micellar Cleansing Water, a powerful, yet gentle cleanser that uses micellar technology to instantly trap and lift away dirt, impurities and makeup with a cotton pad—no rinsing, rubbing or scrubbing necessary.

The no-rinse cleansing using micellar waters has been popular for some time in Europe, and the practice has gained popularity in the rest of the world in recent years. The Kiehl’s  micellar water is comprised of 99.8% naturally-derived ingredients, which not only removes impurities, but also hydrates the skin, which most other cleansers do not do. One of the best micellar waters in the market, the Kiehl’s Herbal-Infused Micellar Cleansing Water delivers 24 hour hydration, thanks to the addition of glycerin.

Infused with Thyme Essential Oil and Lemon Balm Floral Water, Herbal-Infused Micellar Cleansing Water has been formulated with a non-stripping, soap-free and sulfate-free micellar cleansing system. It is suitable for sensitive skin, non-comedogenic and ophthalmologist-tested for use around the eye area and dermatologist tested for use on the lip area.

In general, micellar water is soft water with micelles in it. And Micelles are tiny balls of oil that are attracted to dirt and oil, naturally lifting impurities out of the skin without requiring aggressive rubbing. The micelles make it possible for the water to function as a cleanser and makeup remover, and sometimes as a moisturizer as well. The best micellar waters don’t require you to ‘work them into the skin’ like traditional cleansers. Micelles behave almost like magnets, pulling out the impurities and dirt, while protecting the skin's natural barrier.

Micellar water is especially perfect for people with sensitive or dry skin, during late nights and when traveling. Most micellar waters don’t use harsh chemicals.

Apart from Kiehl’s, some of the brands offering best micellar waters are Dior, Vichy, Eau Thermale Avene and Darphin.
