April 23, 2015: Combining multiple inspirations, stories and techniques, Manish Arora’s Fall Winter 2015-16 collection is an infusion of bright colours and rich textures.

While some lines are inspired by the bold colors and patterns of the Suzani embroidery practiced by Uzbekistani women, others are inspired by the intricately woven woolen shawls from Pavlovsky Posad, where single thread embroidery is intertwined with gold and pearl embellishments on deep rich tones.

The bead art of the Huichol people of Mexico also inspires the collection, along with the fusion of tribal Aztec and floral patterns with bold neon embellishments on pastel colors.

Another line is driven by the bold baroque patterns inspired from the interiors, sculptures and art of the St. Petersburg Palace of Russia. This story incorporates rich gold rexine and abundance of gold embroidery work on multicolor panels.

Eccentric yet historical, this collection gives an ode to tradition, while making it youthful and energetic.
