India Jones invites chefs from Mandarin Oriental, Singapore

August 22, 2011: Chef Ong Siew Huah and Chef David Tan from Mandarin Oriental, Singapore are all geared up to introduce culinary delicacies at India Jones, Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai at a specially created Singapore Food Festival. It will take place from August 26 to September 5, 2011, in association with Singapore Airlines.

Enjoy the journey with Rojak, popular Satays, and Otak – a popular Peranankan delicacy of fragrant banana leaf parcels with spicy mackerel fish mousse. Savour signature Chilli Crabs, wok-fried mud crabs in tomato-chilli sauce accompanied by deep-fried Chinese mantou; the national favorite Katong Laksa, bowl of rice noodles with shrimps, fresh cockles, fish cake and chilli in a coconut broth; or the locally popular Mixed Vegetable Curry, simmered in mild coconut milk. You can’t finish the repast without indulging in Hainanese Chicken Rice, a recipe adapted from early Chinese immigrants originally from the Hainan province in southern China; or Singaporean fried noodles, with shredded omelette, beansprouts and vegetable julienne.

Satiate your sweet tooth with Bubor Chacha, a medley of sweet potatoes, yam and tapioca pearls cooked in a sweet coconut milk; or the Chilled cream of mango with sago pearls, pomelo and lime sorbet, along with an array of other desserts.
