June 12, 2023: The pristine beauty of seasons yet again finds its way in another jewelry collection, but this time, rather than fixating on a particular season, the assemblage showcases the charm of the passing of seasons, and since its Gucci, the designs are heavily instilled with unique combinations, daring cuts and sparkling stones.
Titled Gucci Allegoria, the first line of jewels celebrate the exuberance of flowers in full bloom with vivacious colors, suggesting the welcome sunshine of spring. A spectacular verdant tourmaline placed in the meticulously crafted openwork metal, with star motifs and baguette diamonds mirror the vividness of the colorful season. A cushion-cut pink tourmaline, luxuriously swathed with diamonds and coloured enamel is set on a chain bursting with 72 fancy tourmalines of 88 carats, which create a spectacular chromatic degradé.
Striking stones such as emeralds, spinels and paraiba tourmalines, swirled with myriads of multifaceted diamonds, immaculately embrace the soft and joyful spontaneity of summer.
A harmony of dazzling stones like yellow sapphire, pink tourmaline embodied in a warm color palette offer a delicate tenderness, signaling the beginning of autumn. A yellow sapphire necklace encircled with many myriads of tourmalines and diamonds reminds you of the autumn streets filled with fallen leaves while a vintage-style yellow gold bracelet is set with five mandarin garnets cut into three different shapes.
The second last line-up ushers in a squall of cool colors and ice diamonds and stones, incorporating every element of the winter season. An enamel and diamond necklace, adorned with a 92 carat glistening white opal is reminiscent of snowflakes, while the other diamond studded creations resonate with the season’s festivity and joy.
With the idea of celebrating nature and its ever-changing facets, diverse shapes are featured in the collection such as the baguette diamonds that adds a sense of movement to the design and a simple statement necklace is sublimely elevated with round, paisley and baguette diamonds.
Another highlight is a pair of earrings that feature Gucci’s one-of-a kind, old European-cut diamonds. Created primarily from 1890-1930, European cuts characterized the art deco period, and are the predecessors to today’s round brilliant cut diamond. From bright emeralds to colossal diamonds fit for festivities, this eye-catching time-honored collection, showcased in Florence, captures the beauty of seasons unlike any other.
