Gucci announces its Spring/Summer 2016 campaign inspiration
January 5, 2016: Luxury brand Gucci’s new Spring Summer 2016 advertising campaign highlights the German 80’s pop culture.
An impressive contrast from their Fall/Winter 15-16 campaign set in Los Angeles, creative director Alessandro Michele plans to emulate the raw and urban settings of Berlin as they tell a dreamy tale associated with the romance of this era. The harsh contrast of the Berlin aesthetics mixed with the delicacy of the clothing and accessories gives the look an intimate mystery.
Picture an interior of a public toilet or nightclub bathroom, for example. A dark intimacy is portrayed, as girls are together in a powder room, with some mirrors creating dynamic and bold effects. There is another dreamy shot of a model on a skateboard holding a peacock.
