Gucci ambassador, Florence Welch, presents the label's latest jewelry and watch lines
April 27, 2016: Gucci unveiled its latest timepiece and jewelry collections at a London press conference with its new ambassador Florence Welch.
A longtime friend of Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele, Ms Welch gave an exclusive interview to American fashion writer Derek Blasberg, decked out in the brand’s newest creations.
The lead singer of Florence + The Machine wore the automatic G-Timeless watch, which features an eclectic mesh of decorative bees, stars and a heart. Mr Blasberg had also strapped a quartz G-Timeless with a polished and brushed stainless steel case, housing an inky black dial.
The striking timepieces marry the time-honored Swiss horological traditions with the novel motifs Mr Michele is creating for the House.
From the Gucci Jewelry range, Ms Welch had selected items from the Gucci Flora, Icon and Le Marche des Merveilles lines, including several 18-carat yellow and pink gold rings, each shimmering in gemstones and diamonds.
It is the eccentricity of the ornaments Mr Michele had mastered that appeals to Ms Welch, who is currently midway through her 2016 world tour, rocking the stage in Gucci’s latest runway outfits.
