Gucci presents Men’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection

June 2011: Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection for men is flamboyant, vain and eccentric. With high-tech workmanship, Brit-style pairings, distinctive graphic hints in check fabrics and pied-de-poule, the collection is reminiscent of noble sports. The Gucci man establishes a new sartorial intelligentsia that revisits the posh world of Savile Row during the Sixties and Seventies. “I envisioned a Gentlemen’s Club,” explains Creative Director Frida Giannini, “populated by, aristocrats, dandies and singers, noblemen and rock stars – all with a love for playing with tradition.”

Discover sartorial jackets tailored for rolled shoulders, ignited with a competitive spirit that plays into the details. The collection has equestrian references. Unlined blazers have suede detailing. Interpreted through a palette that opens with ice tones mixed with flame red on a trench, to shiraz nuances or merlot on a feather-weight nappa jacket.

The evening wear is graphic and ultra chic with black and white combinations retracing plaid, micro and macro checks on tuxedo blazers and on pants in silk faille. Studs and cufflinks are in white gold featuring the Diamante pattern. Gucci has fashioned a true rock star look!
