Forest Essentials launches Ayurvedic, organic cotton sheet masks
August 3, 2018: Indian Ayurvedic skincare brand, Forest Essentials, has introduced the country’s first Ayurvedic sheet masks made from biodegradable organic cotton cellulose, in three variants, each addressing a specific skin concern.
The organic cotton cellulose is better able to adhere to skin, helping the mask to perform better after just one application, and are based on ‘Kashyams’, or herbal decoctions, mentioned in Ayurveda. “The thought behind creating the first ever Ayurvedic Sheet Masks in India was to revive this ancient Indian ritual of masking for skin that is so perfectly fit for today’s fast paced lifestyle,” says Mira Kulkarni, Chief Managing Director, Forest Essentials India.
Ojas, created using the process of ‘fermentation’, is Anti-Ageing mask and contains the Vayasthapana Age Arresting Complex. With ingredients such as gotukola, amla, guduchi, haritaki, sage, dawana, green tea and acai fruit extract, it helps smoothen fine lines leaving the skin feeling lifted, firm, plumped and deeply nourished.
Tejasvi made using the ‘cold infusion’ process, is the Lightening & Brightening mask and contains the Varnya Brightening Solution Complex. Turmeric, anantmool, mulethi, saffron, nagkesar, olive, and arnica in this sheet mask brighten uneven skintone and help remove pigmentation.
Sundari, made using the ‘steam distillation’ process, is the Hydrating mask and contains the Tvachya Super Vital Complex. With ingredients such as ghrit kumari, olive, shahtoot with algae extract, this sheet mask deeply hydrates and visibly revitalizes dehydrated skin.
These unisex sheet masks are clinically proven to immediately increase hydration levels of the skin by 40% after just one use. The masks are priced at INR 395 each or INR 999 for the trio.
