monsoon frittersJuly 7, 2012: Dome at The Intercontinental, Marine Drive, a rooftop venue that offers a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea, beautiful sunsets and a spectacular view of the Marine Drivepromenade, has launched a monsoon menu to complement the season.

The new barbecue menu includes skewered specialties which are a perfect accompaniment this season. Dome has been covered especially for monsoons. Watch the rains come down while you enjoy a sundowner, in a comfortable weather controlled environment.

Enjoy the weather with a piping hot Bhutta with sea salt butter or some stuffed Bhavnagiri Chili Tempura. Heartwarming dishes like Smoked Cottage Cheese Skewers  with Rose petal chutney; Cajun Mushroom & Water Chestnut Skewers with a raw mango and grape dip; and Chilli Pineapple & Vegetable skewers with tomato and bell pepper coulis are Chef Paul Kinny's take on comfort food created with a twist.

Have a dig at appetizers like Lemongrass seafood skewers with home-made sweet tomato jam; Arabian Sea prawns skewers with a chilly glaze and lemon butter; Brazilian Tenderloin & Spiced Potato Skewers with a three mustard dip; and Five spiced Meat ball Skewers paired with a light soya garlic sauce. Down these lip smacking delicacies with a flute of champagne, a glass of martini or some of Domes signature cocktails such as Sciroco. The bartender at Dome rustles up a mean mojito, Double Black Mojito and Ron Zacapa Mojito while you soak in the views, the weather and the warmth of the barbecued specialities.

The mood is further enhanced by the inhouse DJ who starts the evenings with light lounge. Tuesdays to Thursdays, Dome features a live saxophonist and flautist Jarrod Wood (Woody), who jams up with electronic music. The Dome menu also features premium cigars, wines and spirits
