Dior launches the Dior VIII Montaigne Steel and Diamonds - 32mm
March 16, 2015: In 2015, Dior VIII Montaigne completes its ready-to-wear day wardrobe with the new model in steel set with diamonds and decorated with mother-of-pearl. This jeweled timepiece has a harmonious interplay of colours, materials and finishes. The sparkle of polished steel and the preciousness of diamonds combine where both the bezel and central circle are set like a hem of diamonds. The hand-applied hour markers and hands recall the pyramid-shaped links on the bracelet and give the dial its sparkle.
With the Dior VIII Montaigne, Dior returns to the essential colours found in Christian Dior’s palette calling on steel grey. A watch by day and a piece of jewellery by night, this timeless and emphatically feminine timepiece exquisitely embodies the Couture House’s emblematic codes: a svelte silhouette and architectural line, a nod at the “Bar” suit; a harmonious combination of Dior colours and watchmaking materials featuring the luminous grey of the polished steel, the sparkle of diamonds and the whiteness of subtly iridescent mother-of-pearl.
With its sharp design inspired by the emblematic Bar suit, it was conceived to be worn at any time, for any occasion. An indispensable accessory for active women, with a steel strap, the Dior VIII Montaigne comes in Christian Dior’s favourite color, grey and echoes one of his sayings, “Everything goes with grey so it is a good colour for accessories too.”
