Designer duo Ashima-Leena launch Khwabeeda collection
August 11, 2018: Indian designer duo Ashima Leena have launched the Khwabeeda Haute Couture collection, which is an ode to the classic woman who is artistic, sophisticated yet substantial. She radiates majestic epiphany, constructing that classic ‘nazakat’ (elegance).
The collection is a magnificent manifestation of grace, legacy and timeless beauty with rich hues, intricate craftsmanship and brocades in shimmering gold and silver. The journey of the sumptuous odhnis (drapes) is seen through unfettered jeweled colors with embroidery realized by the hands of skilled karigars (craftsmen).
The color palette embraces ivory and pastel pink in one collection and hues of exquisite gold dominating the entire collection. Pastels merge with bold color such as maroon to represent royalty in the contemporary era.
Being inspired by the Mughal legacy, without depending on the archives, is clearly evident from the collection. Without forsaking vivacity, Ashima-Leena’s couture collection 2018 is translated through a classic aesthetic and tailored to a woman who is charismatic and influential.
