Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara ReviewForget turning up the volume on your music system, let your eye's do the talking, as you turn up the volume on your lashes with Clinique's High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara. The name could not be more apt if you ask me. Count to three as your lashes become the epitome of 'stylish volume'. Yes, you will want to slowly open and close your eyes because that diva-ish feeling with this comes almost naturally.

This product delivers what it promises and will give you lashes that are ‘blown out’ in all directions for the most dramatic, voluminous, glam-look in an instant! You can literally say goodbye to a midday droop (as is the problem with other mascaras). Lashes stay fuller and lusher for longer.

The product packaging is quite sleek and clean, which I think is quite functional instead of all shiny and fancy. It keeps with the clean look of Clinique and fits in the family pretty well. The application of this product is quite simple. All you really have to do is angle your brush, and using single strokes, watch as this mascara covers every angle of your lashes. But be alert about the stopper which is too large, allowing too much mascara on the brush, so be a tad bit careful. You may have to layer it twice to cover the entire area until you get the hang of how much product is needed, but other than that, this one’s a keeper and won’t make you cry, because it is ophthalmologist tested, suitable for contact lens wearers and sensitive eyes.

Brownie points go to the oversized, multi-dimensional moulded brush that has a greater surface area making it easier to build up dramatic lashes quicker and effortlessly. The formula of Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara is fairly wet, but it does dry fairly quickly preventing nasty smudges or the dreaded panda eye look!

Here’s a tip: the wand is different from the others you may have used before, so it is advisable to practice a few hand rotations before, and then place it beneath your lashes and roll it as you move upwards. Don’t worry if the mascara gets deposited at the root of the lash as it will get easily combed through with each brush stroke. What are you left with you ask? Lashes that are separated, stretched and lifted for that oh so perfect flutter!

Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara ReviewAdding that extra touch, the dome tip aids in feathering, so that even the tiniest of corner lashes are reached. This product actually has a built-in base of polymers that helps to prep lashes for that wide-eyed look. Working actually as a base primer, all you got to actually focus on is coating your lashes and cooing at the volume this mascara gifts your lashes. It has inbuilt conditioning agents that are combined with soft waxes and soft polymers. Thus you are left with soft lashes that are conditioned and touchable (yes, you can try that). The only drawback is that after a while (maybe it’s the humidity in the air) your lashes may feel a little too dry.

Removing this allergy tested, 100 per cent fragrance free.mascara is easy too, so just use an eye make-up remover. My verdict? It gives you that dramatic look like you would get from a pair of false lashes – minus the false. It doesn't smudge or crumble onto the cheeks, so you can wear it throughout the day without having to worry too much.

The Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara is available in Black or Extreme Black at Clinique stores and counters across India for INR 1,600.
