Pucker. Smooth. Pout. Smile. Repeat as desired. Yes, those are the only instructions that go with your Chanel lip gloss. Not that we need to tell you, but their lip glosses are the most sleekest pieces of make up that you can slide in and out of your bag at the drop of a hat if glamour and diva-ness is what you are looking for.
Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer Envolee is part of the Summer 2103 makeup collection - L'Ete de Papillon de Chanel. Girls, and of course women, will feel thrilled to know that the collection draws inspiration from the bright and vibrant hues of butterflies’ wings, and most of the products in this makeup collection are quite bright, summery and pigmented.
Going with the Chanel Envolee (427) Levres Scintillantes Glossimer, which is described as coral, is a pretty colour that will attract your attention almost at first sight. In the tube, it appears like a warm coral-orange with shimmer, but when swatched on the skin, you may be in for a surprise. It's more of a barely there yet soft orangey nude. Minimalist and classy, in keeping with Chanel's approach, Envolee will add warmth to a coral or nude lipstick rather than just colour up your lips when you need it. You can mix the Chanel Genie lipgloss or the Chanel Liberte to give it a pop of colour!
When used alone, it’s barely there and the only tell tale signs of its presence will be the subtle shimmer. The Chanel lipgloss formula is brilliant as always and lips feel fabulously pampered. It is a sheer gloss which besides adding a shine will give a healthy blushing pink to the lips. But what I miss is that there is no prominent shade as such to this product and some may just miss it on the lips or even on their make up counter. But if a subtle shine is what you prefer, then this product is apt for you.
The durability of the product is as all lipglosses have - wears about 2-3 hours. The consistency isn’t too thick or too thin. My verdict? Though lacking pigment, I will return to this one to make my lips feel smooth and comfortable with a statement gloss!
