The Italian luxury brand once again showcased a dazzling alchemy of jewel and time at LVMH Watch Week 2024.
February 1, 2024: Bvlgari once again seamlessly intertwined its ingenious and exquisite craftsmanship with horology’s intricacies, creating awe-inspiring masterpieces for the LVMH Watch Week. These masterpieces not only tell time but also narrate a story of precision, artistry, and innovation. Here is a closer look at the gems.
The Bulgari Bulgari unveils a mesmerizing fusion of boldness and minimalism, a testament to its mastery in watchmaking. The marriage of a distinctive bezel and a minimalist dial captures the magnetic power emanating from the brand's Italian soul coupled with the precision of Swiss craftsmanship at its core.
Originally introduced as Bulgari Roma in 1975, this 18-carat gold timepiece was initially crafted as a special gift for the brand's esteemed clients. The new releases feature rose gold with a silvered opaline dial and yellow gold with a matte black dial, both available in either a quartz-powered 26mm size or a 38 mm-wide case powered by the in-house BVL191 mechanical movement. These timepieces come with an alligator strap in brown, black, or beige.
Celebrating a decade of timeless elegance, Bulgari marks the 10th anniversary of Lucea. Available in sleek steel or rose gold, the timepiece offers two additional variants featuring diamond-set bezels, adding a touch of opulence to its design.
The standout feature of this new Lucea collection is the mesmerizing mother-of-pearl Intarsio dials, meticulously assembled to create a sunray-like effect on the dial. Another version shows a unique interplay of green malachite marquetry on the dial. Available in two sizes, the 33mm has a self-winding caliber, while the 28mm version is driven by a precise quartz movement, ensuring Bulgari's Lucea continues to captivate with its blend of sophistication and innovation.
The iconic Octo Finissimo requires no introduction. Its design details and inherent character effortlessly articulate its timeless appeal. For the Watch Week, the collection introduced two striking new versions, one in Yellow Gold and the other in Tuscan Copper.
The Yellow Gold variant features a deep blue dial with a lacquered finish. In contrast, the Tuscan Copper model showcases a subdued salmon-pink dial adorned with rhodium-plated embellishments, harmonizing with its stainless steel construction. The Octo Finissimo houses the BVL138 caliber Manufacture movement with a 60-hour power reserve, solidifying its status as a paragon of elegance and precision.
The highlight of the collection, however, is Bvlgari’s collaboration with BlackPink sensation Lisa. The new Bulgari Bulgari model created to honor the brand’s partnership with the K-pop star features a unique dial crafted from over 400, meticulously-placed, squares of white mother-of-pearl mosaic.
The collaboration release has two versions. The 33 mm-diameter version is limited to 1,100 pieces, while only 400 exist for the 23 mm-diameter iteration. Bvlgari has truly raised the bar this time.
