Burberry launches store in Chennai, India

June 1, 2011: Burberry has now launched a 230 sq mt store at the Express Avenue Mall in Chennai, India, which reflects the global Burberry store design concept developed by Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey.

British materials and themes have been used throughout the store with flat screen video wall showcasing Burberry digital content controlled by the brand’s global headquarters in London.

The store will house Burberry London, Burberry Brit, Burberry Childrenswear and Burberry Accessories catering to the menswear, womenswear, non-apparel, fragrances, watches, eyewear categories.

With six stores now in India, Burberry seems set to create a large footprint in the country.
