Bottega Veneta presents its Fall/Winter 2018 show in New York
June 1, 2018: Fashion brand Bottega Veneta presented its Fall/Winter 2018 women and men’s collections in New York City, for one season only, to celebrate the opening of its new flagship store at 740 Madison Avenue.
The collection explores the various facets of the life in New York including the necessary escape from the city’s intense whirl of activity, whether to the wilderness of the country or the serenity of one’s home. The collection is filled with unexpected textures such as satin and suede and a bold color palette of unique colors that contributed to statement-making boots and bags.
The runway set was also defined by contrast and curating a world of one’s own. In this case, it is the merger of New York and Italy. An occurring motif within the collection was the cube, which was utilized to create graphic patterns with surreal shifting perspectives.
Iconic bags such as The Lauren 1980 and The Knot Clutch are included in the women’s collection, and the men’s Intrecciato Checker Totes of spring are recast for fall in bolder colors. The overarching vision of the season is rooted in architecture, drawing inspiration from the iconic and modern structures that are unmistakably New York.
