Acadia in Chicago celebrates New Year's Eve in Cirque de Soleil style
December 5, 2016: Chicago fine dining restaurant, Acadia, is celebrating five successful years this New Year’s Eve with a truly dazzling night, planned by Chef Ryan McCaskey at the repeating two Michelin-starred South Loop locale. This year’s annual shindig presents Cirque de Soleil “earth and ocean” featuring two dinner seatings followed by a spectacular party on December 31, 2016.
For those looking to start the evening before a night of parties and fireworks, diners during the 5:30 p.m. seating enjoy canapés and an impeccable six-course tasting menu for $175 per person, and $125 with additional wine pairings. A second seating at 9:00 p.m. allows dinner to be the star of the night showcasing an eight-course tasting menu with luxe additions for $275 per person, and $165 additional with wine pairings.
Every year, Acadia throws a one-of-a-kind New Year’s party and the countdown to 2017 is more incredible than ever. The exotic Cirque de Soleil theme captures the essence of both earth and ocean, while incorporating burlesque and vaudeville vibes, with intricately costumed performers and wild décor. Standout features include a boisterous 20-piece marching band, explosive midnight confetti drop, a three-tiered stage boasting a live, late-night DJ, a mysterious glass tube running the length of the dining room housing contortionists, and more. Guests attending the over-the-top after party have access to cocktails, Champagne, beer, and a buffet with Chef Ryan McCaskey’s favorite bites, all for $50 per person. Doors open at 11:30 p.m.
