The PÜRE Collection's Argan Oil comes from a small independent cooperative of local Berber women near Agadir, Morocco. The argan fruit on the ground is used for the product as those still on the tree are not ripe enough. Once harvested, the nuts are dried in the sun for several days, then de-pulped and cracked by hand. When prepared, the oil is then extracted by machine and filtered several times. The PÜRE Collection uses the first pressed oil only as subsequent pressings are of lower quality.
